NEW AVIATION PETROL
Rec. 1 p.m. NEW YORK, July 20. A non-inflammable high octane aviation petrol was demonstrated by Standard Oil Company engineers. A lighted match dropped into the petrol was immediately snuffed out. The petrol will be used in civilian flying immediately after the Japanese war. It is expected to make air travel 'safer by reducing the fire hazard in accidents, and also to make it practicable for refuelling in mid-air on world flights.
