Evidently "England for Ever" does not know his history. The English Crown was left by Queen Elizabeth to King James VI. of Scotland, who then became King James I. of both England and Scotland. The Scots, unlike the English, have never been conquered. I wonder where England would have been, many a time, if she hadn't had the Lion behind her? It seems to me that "England for Ever" has an inferiority complex, as it'is not his fault if Caledonian blood does not run in his veins. As for boasting, well, we've got plenty to boast about —the best brains in the world are Scots, or descendants. And haven't we got the famous 51st Highland Division? UP THE THISTLE!
