Assets, —Government debt, £11,000,000: Government securities, £1,338,300,000: other securities, £7,000,000: fiduciary issue, £1,350,000,000; gold coin and bullion, £241,000. Banking Department Liabilities.—Capital, £14,000,000: rest, £3,400,000; public deposits, £11,600,000; bankers' deposits, £210,900,000: other accounts, £62,700,000. Assets.—Government securities, £227,300,000; advances. etc., £2.100,000;. other securities. £13,000,000: notes and coin, £60,100,000. Proportion of reserve to liabilities, 18.26 per cent (previous week, 19.03 per cent); discount rate, 2 per cent, unchanged.
