NOT OF THE LEAN KINE
A cow sold as fat more than justified her description, when killed recently at the municipal abattoirs at Palmerston North. The covering along the ribs consisted of more than 75 per cent fat, with the eye of meat about half the usual size for an animal of her weight. This uncommon condition was undoubtedly due to glandular disorder. The carcase did not go into the usual avenues of human consumption.
