AUCKLANDER APPOINTED

The appointment is announced of Mr. E. A. Whitlow, of Auckland, as representative of four railwaymen's organisations on the Railways Industrial Tribunal. He replaces Dr. W. B. Sutch, who is now an officer of Unnra in the South Pacific area.

Mr. Whitlow is secretary of the Auckland Tramways Union and an executive member of the Auckland District Council of the Federation of Labour. He has had wide experience of transport conditions, having been a seaman, railwayman and tramwayman.
