Mr. A. L. Poole, New Zealand scientific liaison officer, will leave London shortly to take up his appointment as silviculturist of the forestry division of the Allied Con-, trol Commission in Germany. Dr. C. S. M. Hopkirk, of Wellington, who has served for 33 years in the Department of Agriculture, has been appointed to' the staff of I Unrra. He will.leave Sydney shortly for Europe and will probably be working in .Yugoslavia.
