INCREASE IN SALARIES
An increase in the salaries of Karitane nurses, as from to-day, has been sanctioned by the Stabilisation Commission, following upon representations made by the Dominion council of the Plunket Society.
The scale of salaries has been fixed at £2 15/ a week to a nurse for the care of one child; £3 a week if more than one is cared for; £3 15/ a week if the nurse cares for the baby in her own home, and 12/6 a day for cases by the day. Revised rules governing the employment of Karitane nurses are also being printed, although they are not yet available.
