MR. J. CURTAYNE
A former supervisor at Auckland for the Government National Provident Fund, Mr. James Curtayne, has died at the age of 72. He joined the Public Service at Westport in 1890, and after being postmaster at Martinborough, Kimbolton and Ashhurst was transferred to an executive position at Napier in 1917. In 1919 he went to Christchurch as district supervisor of the National Provident Fund. He came to Auckland in 192:1. For six years he was a member of the Devonport Borough Council.
