Arising out of the International Aviation Conference held at Chicago in December, 1944, advice has been received that-the Preparatory Committee of the Provisional Organisation wishes to proceed with' the selection of personnel for the staffing of the secretariat. New Zealand, as a contracting State to the agreement, has bee» notified in general terms of the requirements and the Public Service Commissioner invites applications from persons possessed of merit and wide experience in administrative aviation. To those with the necessary qualifications the list opens up a large field of opportunity, especially so for men who have distinguished themselves in the war. The council of the organisation will determine the method of appointment, emoluments and conditions of service of employees.
