REPLACING WAR LOSSES
Rec 1 P,m. t LONDON, July 16. The British tanker fleet lost4o per cent of its ships in the Battle of the Atlantic and more than 400 officers and 1100 men, states the Evening Standard. It is estimated that it will take nearly 10 years to build up the fleet to the pre-war fevel but Britain's new oil fleet will more than 10,000 tons of fuel.
