DRAINAGE IN THE MANUKAU
The advertisements of "Hands off our harbour" advocates appear to be justified from a future outlook; but it only those folk stopped to look at the "goings on" in the Manukau tneir petition might be more helpiul in cleaning up the wrong which exists at present. Thousands of people are affected by the pollution of a few establishments who monopolise the harbour for their dumping grounds. Alongside me there have been tons of fats and raw materials dumped— to say nothing of the higher reaches of the harbour. The health authorities are to blame, yet when a doctor is consulted the answer is to stop the children from enjoying their pleasure by avoiding any diseases caused through swimming. RATEPAYER.
