MRS. SUSANNAH HAMON A resident of Auckland for 87 years, Mrs. Susannah Hamon, of Hillsboro', has died in her 92nd year. Born in Manchester, England, she arrived at Auckland at the age of five with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Birley, in' the ship Tornado in 1859 arid had lived in Auckland ever since. In 1881 she married the late Mr. C. F. Hamon, a builder, who died in 1927. There were four sons and two grandsons, the younger, Mr. Norman Hamon, being killed in Libya in 1941.
