WANTS TO BUILD ARK
PEARS HUGE TIDAL WAVE O.C. SYDNEY, July 4. Mr. Clifford Stanley, retired UnderSheriff of Brisbane Supreme Court, is trying to get manpower and materials to build an ark, because he believes that Queensland coastal towns will be inundated. He intends to place the ark on Mount Cootha, 746 feet high, and five miles from the city. He has made a close study of seismology, and claims that, at any moment, an earthquake will cause a huge tidal wave. This, he says, will destroy every t.-'wn on the eastern coast of Australia as far south as Lismore, and as far inland as the Great Dividing range. -He has advised friends to buy row-boats, and keep them, fully provisioned, on their verandahs. He himself has gone to live in Toownnmba.
