"Outstanding Achievement In Remarkable Career" GRIT AND DETERMINATION Rec. noon. LONDON, June 29. Mr. Churchill has returned to London after travelling 1000 miles in Britain and Scotland in four days, in the course of which he made 30 speeches. Newspapers describe the tour as one of the outstanding achievements of his remarkable career. The. Daily Telegraph comments that Mr. Churchill's feat surpassed even Gladstone's famous Midlothian campaign in 1880. So exhausting a task at the age of 70 would have appalled a much younger man. It was for him only another example of the grit and determination that have characterised his long and colourful life.,

When the Prime Minister's special train arrived in London Mrs. Churchill left by car immediately. The Prime Minister stayed on the train over an hour and when he left he looked tired.
