FUTURE OF 2ND N.Z.E.F.

I have read with interest the letters in the Star concerning the future of our boys overseas, and whether or not they should all return to New Zealand, or whether some should be retained for service in the Pacific. I would suggest that Sir Bernard Freyberg, V.C., who is loved by aU New Zealanders, including the soldiers, should lead his victorious army back to New Zealand, not as a soldier, but as our future Governor : General. This would be a fitting climax to his ow*n achievements, and those of our brave New Zealand boys. ANXIOUS MOTHER.
