AUCKLAND STATISTICS
Births in Auckland in June totalled 402, an increase of 37 over the same month last year. For the I year to date, the total is now 2738,' as against 1947 for the first six months last year. There was an increase of 11 in deaths in June compared with the same month in 1944. A total of 244 marriages was recorded in June, a decrease on last year's total of 315. The registrar performed 63 of these marriages.
