SHEPPARD.—On June 28, at Auckland Hospital, Robert Hazelton, J.P., husband of the late Mary Seaby Sheppard. late of Devonport and Tairua, and loved father or Greta, Bert (of 47. Clarence Street. Devonport), Roderick and Olive; in his ninety-first year (late of A.C.4 South African Coronation Contingent. R.N.Z.A.). Service will be held at the Chapel of H. Morris. Limited, at 3.15 to-morrow (Friday), funeral leaving afterwards for O'Neill's Point Cemetery. Friends please accept this intimation. SNELGAR.—On June 26, 1945, at Thames. Mary Ann, dearly loved mother of Mary (Cambridge), and loving grandmother of Maureen (Lee), and Jack (released P.0.W., England); aged 89 years. STEER.—On June 28, 1945, at Green Lane Hospital, Jessie, dearly beloved wife of the late William James Steer, 147, Balmoral Road, Mount Eden (late of Waihi and Thames), and much loved mother of Ivy, Annie. Frances, Bob, Louie and Eric, and loved mother-in-law of Chas. Tiller, Thomas Meredith. William Campbell, Flo Steer, Si Hayter and Althea Steer, and grandma of 17 grandchildren, and great-grandmother of Jeanette; aged 74 years. Peace, perfect peace. A service will be held at W. H. Tongue and Son's Chapel. Saturday, at 12.15 p.m., funeral then leaving for Purewa Cemetery.
