Commander-In-Chief'; Of British Forces Occupying Germany MEMBER OF CONTROL COUNCIL Rec. 2.30 p.m. RUGBY, May 22. By command of the King, Mr. Churchill has announced that FieldMarshal Montgomery has been appointed Commander-in-Chief of the I British forces for the occupation of i Germany and the British member of! the Allied Control Council in Ger-i many. His chief representative for, control questions will be Lieutenant-1 General Sir Ronald Weeks.
