VICTORY LOAN AUCKLAND DISTRICT

OVER £3,000,000 GIVEN

An increase of £95,326 since Friday night brings the total of Victory Loan subscriptions made or promised in the Auckland district to £3111,055, which is 53 per cent of the district's quota of £5,836,000. Subscriptions in the Auckland metropolitan area total £2,782,839, or 51 per cent of the target. The first centre to achieve its objective, Waimauku, ha 3 now contributed £6057 to the loan, or 115 per cent of its quota. Substantial gains have been made in other centres as follows, the quota percentages being shown in parentheses:—Bombay, £1652 (47 per cent); Kumeu, £3020 (45); Onewhero, £1938 (45); Papatoetoe, £14.330 (44); Waiuku, £22,216 (43); Pukekohe, £29,302 (41).
