ROOSEVELT MEMORIAL

PROPOSAL FOR AUSTRALIA Rec. 1 p.m. CANBERRA, this day. Australia is to have a memorial to President Roosevelt, the full Cabinet has decided. ' The ccst will be borne by the Commonwealth Government. A formal type of monument is extremely unlikely. Suggestions are being considered by the Government for the form of the memorial to include an infantile paralysis clinic, the establishment of an Institute of Pacific Relations, the construction cf a wing of the- National Library to house American literature, the sponsoring of interchangeable scholarships for students in Australia and America.
