MURDER PLOT
DE GAULLE MENACED Paris Police Arrest Suspected Conspirators Rec. 10 a.m.. LONDON, April 10. According to the newspaper Populaire, Paris police have discovered a plot to murder General de Gaulie. They stopped a car bearing the official tricolour cockade and found tommyguns and documents hidden under the cushions. They arrested two men. Police quarters state that the Air Minister, M. Tillon, ordered the arrest of two air force officers charged with conspiring against the security of the State. They were in possession of arms when arrested, but it has not been proved that thev also possessed plans for the assassination of General de Gaulle. Reuters Paris correspondent says that air force police arrested about 15 air officers, who, according to the Air Ministry, distributed leaflets inciting the people to intercept food lorries.
