Net profit of £ 157.363 of Australian Iron and Steel, Limited, for the year ended November 30 shows a fall from £ 350.345 for 1942-43, after allowing £802,865 for depreciation, a decrease of £17,455. Only allocations are preference dividend of 714 per cent, requiring £75,000, and £100,000 added to reserve. Carryforward is increased from £142,149 to £154,517. Ordinary dividend of £81,675 (5 per cent), declared for 1928-29, but never paid, has been transferred to general reserve.
