WESTFIELD SALE STEADY DEMAND FOR BEEF Values for a good entry of beef were firm at the Weslfield fat stock market to-daj'. The demand was steady and all classes realised late rates. AUCTIONEERS' REPORTS There was again a large entry of beef which met a steady demand, all classes selling at late quotations. Extra choice ox sold to 42/ per 1001b; choice and prime, 38/ to 41/; ordinary ox. 34/ to 37/; extra prime heifer beef, to 40/; choice and prime, 36/ to 39/; ordinary cow beef, 28/ to 35/. Extra heavy prime steers ranged in price from £L 8 to £18 12/6; heavy. £10 15/ to £17 17/6; medium, £15 to £16 10/: light, £13 12/6 to £14 17/6; small and unfinished, £8 10/ to £13 10/. Extra heavy prime cows, £11 to £12 15/; heavy. £9 15/ to £10 15/; medium. £8 10/ to £9 10/; light. £7 to £8 7/6; small and unfinished, £4 10/ to £6 17/6.
