DIGGERS' BOWLS TOURNEY
FIVE GREENS TO BE USED Arrangements are well advanced for the Diggers' annual bowls tourney, which will be held on Saturday, May 12. Section play will take place on five greens. South suburban teams will be catered for at Papatoetoe, and North Shore players will meet on a green over the water. Post section play will take place on the Onehunga R.S.A. green on the following Saturday. Entries close with W. S. Raffles, 280, Church Street, Onehunga, on April 21. Intending players are urged to send their entries in early as over half the accommodation is alpeady booked. Late entries cannot on any account be considered. This tournament is fast becoming one of the most popular fixtures in the Auckland Province, and it is necessary each year to arrange for increased entries.
