THEFT CHARGE DENIED

STEWARD TO STAND TRIAL

A steward, Clarence Albert Butterfield (42), appeared before Messrs. H. Trevelyan King and J. P. Macdonald, J.P.'s, in the Police Court this morning charged with the theft, between January 5 and January 21 last, of various articles from the dwelling house of Geoffrey Craven Carden, at 37, Victoria Avenue, Remuera, of a total value of £52. Accused pleaded .not guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
