Gorcjon And Griffin To Meet At, Wellington
Clarrie Gordon, of Auckland, has contracted with the Wellington Box: ing Association to meet Jim Griffin, of Wellington, on November 6. This will be their third contest this season, Gordon having won the first bout at Wellington on points, and being defeated by a knock-out in the third round in the return bout at Dunedin. Gordon took the ring on the second occasion at 9.13, about four pounds above his normal weight. The first bout between Gordon and Griffin took place at the Town Hall, Auckland, last year, when Griffin took the count in the seventh round, his second appealing, in vain for a foul.
