Entries Include Two Sydney Horses
A feature of the entries for the chief events in the Auckland Racing Club's summer carnival, which is to be held at Ellerslie on December 26 and January 1 and 2, Is the nomination of two Sydney horses! Kilaree and Shining Night, both members of Maurice McCarten's Randwick team.
No fewer than 354 nominations have been received for the five principal handicaps, as against 2SJ last year. The Auckland Cup has drawn 80 entries, and the Railway Handicap 47, while there are 101 in the Nathans Memorial Handicap. Details of the Cup and Railway nominations are:—
