CAR STRIKES POLE
When a car crashed into a telegraph pole in Mount Eden district shortly before 9 o'clock last night, telegraph wires near Bellevue and Dominion Roads, were brought down. A passenger in the car, Miss Shirley Eleanor Wade, aged 21, of 28, Springfield Road, Morningside, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital with injuries to the face and head. Her condition to-day was fair.
