PRINCE SHOCKED
Premature Reports Of Allied Entry Into Holland JULIANA FLIES TO LONDON Rec. 2.30 p.m. LONDON, Sept 10. Queen Elizabeth of Belgium received Prince Bernhardt of the Netherlands, Commander of the Dutch Forces on the Continent, and the Prince Consort of Luxemburg in Brussels on Saturday, states Brussels radio. Prince Bernardt expressed concern over what he termed "the most upsetting" and premature reports that Allied troops had already entered Holland. He said: "It is the greatest shame, indeed, that reports should be put out. They have caused much trouble. I hear from reliable sources that people have been shot in Holland for hanging out flags when they heard the reports." He added -that he himself, on the strength of. the first report that the British were fighting in Holland, rushed from England to France expecting to go straight into Holland. According to the Associated Press, Prince Bernhardt crossed the Albert Canal to-day and visited Dutch troops fighting alongside the British within a dozen miles of Holland. Princess Juliana, of the Netherlands, flew non-stop from Canada to London on Saturday in an R.A.F. transport plane in 16 hours 17 minutes.
