EGG PRICES
The Auckland Egg Marketing Committee announces a' reduction in the prices of eggs as from Monday and affecting-aXt-sales hvfethe A-nck-land marketing 3rea and the Tauranga and Hamilton special marketing areas. The new schedule is as follows: —Heavy hen. wholesale, 2/71/2 a dozen; .retail, 2/11; standard hen, 2/6% and 2/10; medium hen, .2/414 8_!t~_8; pallet, 1/9 and I/ll„; ungraded hen, 2/3; standard duck, 2/41/2 and 2/8; medium duck. 2/2',2 and 2/51/2; small duck, 1/lHz and 2/3: ungraded duck. 1/11„. Country prices outside of the above marketing areas are *,2d a dozen less for all grades, making country storekeepers' buying prices for ungraded hen eggs 2/214 and - duck eggs 1/11.
