In addition to successful attacks on Japanese shipping in Far East waters reported in an Admiralty communique, British submarines bombarded oil tanks at Sibolga, on the north-east coast of Sumatra, and military installations in the northern part of Ross Island, and at Fort Blair, Andaman Island.
