MR. ALLUM RETURNED

MAYORALTY OF AUCKLAND

By a majority of 6336 votes, the present Mayor of Auckland, Mr. J. A. C. Allum, was returned for a second term of office at the poll on Saturday. The contest was a triangular one, Mr. Allum's opponents being the Labour candidate, Mr. W. T. Anderton, M.P., and an independent, Mr. J. Victor Macky.
