Ordinary-Seaman R. W. Jones, third son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Jones, of 58, Quadrant Road, Onehunga, has been promoted to the rank of sublieutenant. He was educated at the Auckland Grammar School, and was one of the five New Zealand cadets in H.M.S. Sheffield in the recent successful action against Scharnhorst. horst.
