BUS DRIVER'S MOVE

RE-REGISTRATION OF SECTION

The Auckland Drivers' Union is endeavouring to re-register its section which was deregistered by the Cabinet in January. during the bus drivers' dispute over Sunday pay. The whole of the union in the area within 25 miles radius of the Auckland chief post office was deregistered, but according to the secretary, Mr. L. G. Matthews, the first section for which registration is sought comprises the bus drivers.

The union has presented claims for a new agreement under the Labour Disputes Investigation Act to the Auckland Omnibus Proprietors' Association. The president of the association. Mr. N. B. Spencer, said the claims had been discussed by the employers and would be further considered.
