NEWMARKET MAYORALTY
Mr. Charles Mountain, present deputy-Mayor of Newmarket and a member of the council for the past 17 years, has announced his intention of standing for the mayoralty at the coming local body elections. Mr. Mountain will receive the support of the present council. The present Mayor, Mr. R. E. Newport, who was elected on Mr. S. Donaldson's death last month, is not seeking re-election.
