PALESTINE'S FUTURE
Congress Committee Shelves Resolution "CONVINCED ACTION UNWISE" Rec. 1 p.m. WASHINGTON, Mar. 17. Acting upon the advice of military authorities, the House of Representatives' Foreign Affairs Committee shelved a resolution placing Congress on record as disagreeing with Britain about the future of Palestine, and urging the establishment of a Jewish Commonwealth. The chairman, Mr. Sol Bloom, stated that those responsible for the conduct of the war were convinced that the proposed action would be unwise at present.
