PACIFIC WAR TROPHIES

AUCKLANDERS' INTEREST

Much interest has been shown in the exhibition of weapons captured from the Japanese and those used by the American troops in the Pacific jungle campaigns. Since the opening day on Monday the first floor of Milne and Choyce, Limited, where the exhibition is being held, has been thronged with visitors. The exhibition has been of obvious value and, together with a hundred or more photographs, has formed a practical history lesson for Aucklanders.

The exhibition was visited this morning by non-commissioned officers of the Mount Albert Grammar School cadet unit and senior history pupils of the school. The boys listened to a lecture and then spent half an hour examining the weapons.
