TRAVEL CUT IN JAPAN

Tokyo official radio announced that Japan's strained transportation system has been placed on a drastic rationing and permit basis, with travel even for military and Government personnel restricted. All sleeping and dining cars are discontinued, and travel by taxi is virtually abolished.
