BIRKENHEAD WELCOME
Furlough men from Birkenhead were entertained in the Foresters' Hall, Birkenhead, in the presence of a large gathering of local residents. Each man was presented with an inscribed wallet and a pocket testament. Speakers were the Mayor, Mr. E. J. Osborne, the Mayoress, the Rev. R. J. Currie, and Mr. J. Prickett, president of the Birkenhead Returned Services' Association.
