ATTACK ON THE PRESS
(By Telegraph. Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. A vigorous attack on the Press was made during the Address-in-Reply debate in the House of Renresentatives last evening by Mr. Thorn (Govt., lhames).
i ,^ a ' c * t , ha . t *-' ie censorship, which had allowed the newspapers to carrv on a campaign against the Government since the outbreak of the war was not exacting, and the newspapers had no right to protest against its exercise by the Government.
