DOMINION CENSORSHIP

SUPERVISION" SUGGESTED (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. As far as industrial troubles were concerned, he felt that some things were withheld from the public on which they should have information, said Mr. Aderman (National, New Plymouth) in the House of Representatives yesterday. He knew that some things had to be withheld in the interests of the war, but realised that there was a deep suspicion among the people that censorship was used for political purposes.

He suggested the setting up by the Government of an inter-party committee to supervise the operations of censorship in New Zealand. That would remove any feeling of suspicion.

Mr. Macfarlane (Government, Christchureh South) said he wondered if such a committee was set up whether a position would develop as happened when the Government had previous contact with the Opposition in the war administration.
