FIRE AT HERNE BAY

Serious damage was done to the uppei portion of a two-storeyed house at 16, Mason's Avenue Heme Bay, by a fire which broke out vesterday afternoon. The owner of the house, Mrs. A. C. Hawkins, occupied the top floor, the bottom floor beine divided into two flats. ! r 9 m Central and western Districts fire stations attended the outbreak. Much of the furniture in the ground storey was damaged by water. The building was insured for £1400.
