APPLES FOR CHILDREN

DISTRIBUTION ON MONDAY Free distribution of apples to schools in the Auckland district which received supplies last year will be made on Monday, arrangements between the Internal Marketing Division and the Health Department having been completed. In order to share in subsequent deliveries schools must have notified the division of their present number and of transport arrangements. Supplies have been set aside for distribution for the next two months. Since the scheme of free distribution was first started, both civilian and military news ahve increased substantially, and the division says it is hoped that school teachers will ensure that no apples are wasted.
