"PRODUCE TO LIMIT"

APPEAL MADE TO MINERS

RESULTS OF STATE CONTROL (By Telegraph.--Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. In no mining field in the world had there been less trouble than in the Waikato since the Government took over the control of those mines, and the output had increased tremendously, stated Mr. Coulter (Govt. —Raglan) in the Address-in-Reply debate in the House of Representatives yesterday.

It had been stated that increased output was due to more shifts being worked, but, said Mr. Coulter, the increase began long before the number of shifts was increased. It had also to be remembered that at least 300 of the miners were well advanced in years.

"I want to say this to the miners," he added. "The Government needs your help and the country needs your help, and I urge you to forget the irritation tactics of members of the Opposition and produce in the interests of the country to the limit."
