The list of winning owners at the New Zealand Cup meeting was headed by Mr. C. W. Boytl (Classform) with £iooo. Messrs. P. and T. O'Neill (Tara King) were second with £1000. and Messrs. J. and L. McMillan (Gladynev and Don Quex) third with n27.">. Then followed Mr. G. M. Currie £1020, Mr. r. Louis £00,"j, Mr. W. S. Goosman £800, Mrs. L. Hoare £780. Mr. W. J. Dore £(i 25. .Mr. E. X. Fitzgerald £600. Mr. J. L. Cheeseman £400. Mr. .T. R. MeKenzie £490. Mrs. H. C. Manaton £450, Mr. J. Dwyer £325. Mr. H. D. Greenwood £325, Mr. V. G. Cottle £295, Mr. A. J. Mack £250, Mr. E. N. Didham £245, Mr. E. E. Steele £245. Mr. S. Taylor £200. Mr. F. A. Roberts £200, Mr. S. J. Newland £200. SUCCESSFUL TISAIXERS The most successful trainers at the meeting were H. Telford (Trentham) and G. W. New (Awapuni), who led in three winners each. N. Dwyer (Oamaru) had two wins, and those with one success each were Mrs. A. McDonald, P. Burgess, H. B. Lorigan. P. Spratt, D. P. Wilson, A. Goodman. F. D. Jones, A. E. Didham, F. A. Roberts and C. \V. Boyd. WINNING EIDERS The Awapuni apprentice, S. Waddell, was the most successful horseman, with three wins, and W. BrougMon, P. Spratt and J. McFarlane were next with two wins each. Those with one success each were: P. Burgess. A. Jenkins, L. J. Ellis, K. Carlyle, A. Mid wood. L. Hare, R. Heasley, A. Waddell and M. Andrews. AWAPUNI HAS "CLEAN UP" Owners of visiting horses took the bulk of the money offering away with them after the New Zealand Cup meeting. Awapuni horses had by far the best record, winning £5270. while Trentham horse.-; also raced well, winning £3000. The successes of Classform (New Zealand Cup), Theolateral (Stewards' Handicap), Subdued (Welcome Stakes), Gladynev (Metropolitan Handicap), and Rink (Riccarton Handicap) gave Awapuni stables their splendid total, while Tara King (Derby), Blue Bonny (Spring Nursery Handicap), Caithness (Appren l tices , 'Handicap and Oaks). Voltaire (Suburban Handicap), Kindergarten (Canterbury Cup), and Bridge Acre (Pioneer Handicap), were the winners from Trentham.
