FIRE ON A FARM
BRIGADE UNABLE TO ASSIST
When a fire broke out early on Thursday morning on a farm property at Glenfleld, owned and occupied by Mr.. J. W. Dyer, two large sheds were destroyed and damage was done to a wooden residence. A large amount of farm machinery and. implements was destroyed. Owing to the fact that the property is outside the boundary of the borough of Takapuna the brigade was unable to give any assistance. Regulations state that the engine may be sent only to fires within the borough. The fiames were brought under control by a bucket brigade comprising Mr. Dyer and his family.
