AUCKLAND PRODUCE
Following is the official wholesale market report of the Auckland Grain, Seed and Produce Merchants' Association:—
Good stocks of wheat are held by merchants, and a further shipment from Australia has been distributed. Through store prices are unchanged at 7/4 to 7/6 a bushel. The demand for maize is - steady and. ample stocks are available with whole maize selling through store at 7/11 to 8/2 a bushel, and kibbled at 8/1 to 8/4. There is a steady demand for oats, and the market is quiet. Good stocks are held, and B Gartons are selling through store at 5/2 to 5/5 a bushel. The market for chaff is very firm and supplies are not plentiful owing to difficulties in obtaining shipping space. Prices through store are from £12 5/ to £13 5/ a ton. Good stocks of barley are held by merchants, and these are selling at 5/5 to 5/11 a bushel for M.D. and clipped and from 5/3 to 5/6 for undipped. There is a very strong demand for barleymeal. with through store prices from £12 10/ to £13 5/ a ton. The stock position regarding barleymeal 13 slightly better, and merchants are offering through store at £11 17/6 to £12 2/6 a ton.
