GAS POSITION

STILL. NEED OF CARE "The gas position this morning was better than yesterday," said Mr. Rupert Worley, manager of the Auckland Gas Co. "The public used a little over 3,600,000 cubic feet yesterday as compared with 3,800,000 eubic feet on the same day three weeks ago." Mr. Worley added that the output of gas from the works had also inereased. These two factors combined promised an alleviation of the position in the near future, but there was still need for people to exercise itrict economy.
