Seven German generals have been captured by the Allied forces in Tunisia. /These include Lieutenant-Gen-eral \Bueloudius, who, according to Berlin radio, is "recovering from wounds in Germany." Bueloudius was commanding the Manteufel Division. Major-General Weber and MajorGeneral Borowietz were cut off in the area between Bizerta and Tunis by the rapid Allied advance to Tunis. General Weber went to Tunisia in January to command his division. General Boroweitz was the fourth general commanding the Fifteenth Panzer Division during two years in Africa. He replaced General von Kleist last November. General Krause, who is the senior of the generals captured, is an artillery specialist. He had been senior artillery officer in von Arnim's panzer army, then in the Tunisia army group. He served in the campaign in Greece. The fifth German general captured is Major-General Bassenge, commander of the Luftwaffe defences at Bizerta. The sixth was Major-Gen-eral Nauffe, commander of the Luftwaffe Division, and the seventh was Major-General von Vaerst, commander of the Fifth Panzer Division. The artillery captured the Italian Chaplain-General, who is quoted as saying: "The Italian army has "no dasire to escape or return home, but prefers honourable eaptivity."_ The Rome radio, broadcasting to Americans, said: "We would feel a lot better if the tables were turned and we could dump the British m..0 the-sea. They are used to it. .everyone in Italy is saddened by the news j from Tunisia."
