ANNUAL CHURCH PARADE
Units of the Auckland sub-centre of the New Zealand Red Cross Society yesterday attended the annual church parade. They assembled in Fort and Commerce Streets and marched to St. Matthew's Church and St. Patrick's Cathedral. After the services the units were drawn up and inspected by the Mayor, Mr. Allum, and various Red Cross Society officers. The units then marched past the Mayor, who took the salute. Other organisations represented were the Order of St. John and the American Red Cross. This was the first time that the Grey Ladies had taken part officially in a parade.
